More About Me
Mother to three fine daughters and two dogs living on the South West Coast of Scotland.
My passion is to educate, support and encourage women during the perinatal period.
After qualifying in Holistic Therapies in 1995, I set sail on the high seas of the Caribbean as a holistic spa therapist. Coming back to dry land after some years working, travelling and exploring the world - I was keen to teach my craft and skill to others. I was fortunate to be offered an opportunity to lecture in further education at a local college. Alongside lecturing I studied and gained the TQFE. When becoming a mother in 2004, I came to realise that pre and post natal massage therapy was, and is a vital modality to support women throughout this crucial transitional period of her life!
I then qualified to specialise in pregnancy and post natal therapy (The Carol-Osborne way) and Infant Massage Therapy (Scottish School of Infant Massage).
I enhanced my education by becoming a pre/postnatal yoga teacher & hypnobirthing instructor with YogaBellies.
I eventually created my own brand, The Garner Method TM , and developed the business into offering not only services to clients, but creating and delivering teacher training to other enthusiastic therapists keen to serve women during this crucial time. I am currently studying a degree with the Open University in the Arts & Humanities, and recently qualified in Essential Skills in Maternity Care Practice (SQA).
